10 socks total... on the first pick, he has a 6/10 chance
on the second pick he has a 5/9 chance
the combined probability is therefore 6/10 * 5/9 = 30/90 = 1/3 = 33.3%

on the first pick there is a 7/10 chance
on the second pick there is a 6/9 chance
the combined probability is 7/10 * 6/9 = 42/90 = 46.7%
