Should be given preferences in hiring, Until we achieve true gender and racial equality in America??

Absolutely not. Giving anyone at all preferential treatment in hiring is completely unconstitutional. Section 1 of Amendment 14 clearly states "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

NO! The best qualified should ge the job. Whose to define when we've reached TRUE gender and racial equality? The scales have gone too far in the other direction already. If we're all created equal than we should all be judged equally. What is next? Giving preference to ugly people over better looking applicants? Fat over skinny? Where will it end?

That's been going on for decades now, to the point that white males have filed class action suits of reverse descrimination in the job market, and won, for valid reasons. Chief Justice Clarence Thomas, a black man, is totally against such "Affirmative Action" type programs that you speak of. I agree. God Bless you.

for the same motives GOP assaults racial minorities and ladies persons in politics. "very own viscous and incessant like wolves on a wounded deer"...it fairly is the biggest load of nonsense i've got seen afterward.

i will probably mess up but MLK said I have a dream--when my kids will be judged not on the color of skin but on the content of character ,,it is time to start doing what King was talking about,,

No, I got my job because I was the best candidate and I also get any raise and.or bonuses based on my performance not on my gender or skin color.
