Wicked is one of the best broadways ever. The music, characters, the plot. It's just an all-around great broadway. But, I was wondering, do you think that they will ever make a movie out of it, or would it be a bad movie and be a disaster and waste of money?

Wicked? Into a Movie?!?! That would be DISASTEROUS!!!!!!! There are many shows that only work onstahe, and this is definately one of them! Originally, before Stephen Schwartz got involved, it was intended to be on the silver screen. This became apparent that it was not going to work, so it became (thank heavens) a musical instead. All the integrity and energy that makes Wicked the amazing show it its is based on the fact that it IS onstage. Otherwise, it wouldn't be there at all.

I would love to see a movie version of it, but I'm sure that it will happen. If it does, the people from the original Broadway cast should play their respective role in the movie, like what was done with Rent. Otherwise, the film will be ridiculous.

it would be a disaster, give it a few years. when people mkae movie of broadway hits while there popular it is horrible for both. think "the producers" and "rent"

both were dreadful, and pretty much killed the plays for me.

I hope they don't make it into a movie. So much of the energy that just glows on stage would be lost through a screen.

I would just LOVE to see it turned into a movie, but I would give it a couple of years.
