Funny old Bean, but one had a similar 'probolemo' last year. Yes, my Butler James, whose been with us for three years had a fling with the Footman Bertie. I caught them Flagrante Indilicto on the Mater's Four Poster.
Dashed bad show what?
Should have had them Tarred and Feathered.
Pater would have done that in the old days.....
But, I had no alternative but.... to join 'em!

It is your home. You probably do not hang out with your employees and then would not know the boyfriend. How do you know that he is not a serial killer or thief or a drug addict? You can't know, but probably don't want to say this to your butler. It is very bold and rude for your butler to put you in this situation. I would tell the butler that it would mean a cut in pay and additonal money due for rent for the boyfriend. If that doesn't sway him then maybe look for another butler. Everyone is always replaceable and your safety and valuables are not.

A threesome? I am assuming you are not "into" such things, so you can either provide him with a firm "no," or establish boundaries that would be acceptable to the way you wish to run your home. This is just my opinion, but it seems to me your butler should keep that kind of friendship off limits from his service with you. It clearly is a conflict of interest and could work out, but I am not feeling that you are okay with it at all, so simply say so now before something foolish gets put into place...
