Why does it say to serve and protect?? Part 2...?

The guy was correct they only protect their own crooked cops, they abuse poor people wrather they are white or black and if you are poor you are automatically guilty in this country so why does it say to serve and protect when that as far from the truth as possible? or at least it applies to the rich and not the poor...

It's to amuse the poor people who know better and to comfort the rich people who have lawyers.. Those words bring comfort to the other police officers too who tell theirselves they are the greatest and they bring law and order to us when if fact most people follow the law and have no need of the police ever...

Those of you who believe that all cops are crooked though are wrong there's a lot of good police out there but in my neighborhood they are corrupt and can be payed off to look the other way and I am sure it is that way in other neighborhoods as well. The mayor in my town uses the police to run people he doesn't like out of town, is that right?

Nice that you believe the hype but there's no such thing as free money given out to the poor anywhere. Making that statement shows you know nothing.

It is sad that you are so cynical. Actually, in most of the USA if you are poor you get FREE MONEY, you don't have to work, you don't have to pay for ANYTHING, etc. So, really, I don't think you see the whole picture.
As for the mayor in your town and the cops where you live, it's not going to change unless YOU do something about it. Whining won't get you anywhere. How about running for office, starting a petition, making public speeches, reaching out to the poor ON YOUR OWN? In order to make a difference, you actually have to DO something. Whining isn't enough.

i'm not sure what the story is, but the case we're in the cops aren't that helpful. they saw the condition of the children and i, but never arrested him, nor arrest him for the weapon pfa violation. i can't credit the bradford cty cops w/ a lot of serve and protect nor the judge, nor the sherriff dpt nor children and youth. and yes the rich get the best and the poor society get the worst.we fight hard to change[some of us do anyway] but get nowhere. there isn't any noticable whining going on, just honestly including SOME corrupt cops out there.
