Don't worry about it, you'll be able to see it. The us techs are so experienced these days. The baby will move around if you're laying down too. They tend to be less active when you're up doing stuff, because it feels like rocking motion. You'll do great!

Sorry, drinking oj isn't gonna make a difference. The baby has a mind of its own in the womb and the only way you're gonna find out is if the baby is in a good position where your doctor can make a very good guess or knows for sure. And that still doesn't mean anything. My doctor was telling me I was having a boy for months... Until like I was like 7 months and then he was like, oh it looks like a girl..So then I got skeptical and I didn't buy anything girly or boyish, I got unisex colors like white, yellow, and sea green until I knew for sure and I didn't get confirmation until I was about to have her. The baby's activity has really nothing to do with it it's all in how they are laying at the time of the ultra sound. A 3-d ultrasound is more accurate as well....

This is just my own personal experience but I always had a little caffeine before my ultrasounds. My baby was so active that with all 3 ultrasounds my husband & I and the technician laughed so hard! Our videoes of 2 of them are shaky in some places, that's when I was laughing.
My son was very active and the tech had no trouble telling us the sex.

You don't want the baby to active, then you won't see again. But a sleeping baby might not be any better. Just drink plenty of water before, a full bladder for some reason gives you a clearer picture.

It can go either way. If the baby is too active then it won't sit still long enough to get he picture. If he's (or she) is lying too long in the wrong position sleeping you won't get the view either. Just go as you are and if you're meant to find out you will. Chances are you'll find something. If the baby is too sleepy in the wrong position you can always give yourself a poke and a jiggle to get the baby to move.

Congrats!

the doctor usually can tell rather the baby is active or not at this early of the stage mine did. Although if the baby it positioned in the wrong way they might have a little trouble there!

For both of my pregnancies, the boys were just jumping around in there and we were able to tell because they just kept moving and giving the technician good angles to view. I know a woman whose baby didn't move at all during her ultrasound and the tech wasn't able to get all the neccessary pictures so she had to go back and have another ultrasound...

It all depends on where the baby is positioned. If they are too still then they might not give you the view that is needed to see the gender parts. If they are too active then you are chasing around their crotch area and that makes it difficult. For me the boys are a lot easier to confirm then girls.

The technicians are so experienced that usually even if they only get a glimpse they can tell. You don't want the baby to be so active that they can't get a good picture though.

There's not alot of room in there, so they should be able to see the sex with a little patience. Enjoy!
