their performance. If Bush was to be paid by his measure of competence in running the country would the national debt be lowered significantly?

Just a quick "performance review" for Mr. Bush:

1. Got us into the war in Iraq under the premise of weapons of mass destruction when intelligence reports should have at least made him question that "fact".

2. Once he made that bad decision he followed it up with another one by not sending in enough troops at the beginning to secure the borders and control the area.

3. Not doing enough to ensure that another attack on U.S. soil doesn't happen. Little to no security at our borders, our ports, our nuclear sites, etc. The fact that we haven't been attacked yet again is by the grace of God, not because of the competence of Dubya.

4. His buddy "Brownie" doing such a great job preparing for and in the aftermath of Katrina.

5. His stubborn refusal to allow the expansion of stem cell research that would advance science and cure disease.

I'm running out of space or I would go on. Not a very good report card in my opinion.

What?! How did he decide that he could be an authority on job competance? What a joke. This man doesin't have a damn clue what the majority of the country seems to think of him and his job performance. He himself said that he only skims through the paper to read the headlines!

If Bush was paid according to his competence level, he would owe the country a few billion.

I couldnt disagree with you more. Your implying that the president is incompetent. Precisely what are you using as a benchmark...lets examine a few things.....

Bush...911...response..no known successfull attack on domestic soil in seven years

Clinton...uss cole...NADA...
african embassy attacks...BUPKUS
first wtc bombing...NIL
and of course here we are because he couldnt keep it zipped up.

Bush...tax cuts that have improved the economy.
Clinton...the largest tax increase in us history
the tiebreaking vote to tax social security breaking a fifty year promise to the elderly of this naiton.

Bush....no impeachment no criminal act with documentation
Clinton...lying under oath to a federal grand jury, the only sitting impeached president of the us....obstruciton of justice.

Bush.....no campaign finance issues
Clinton...lincoln bedroom rental...campaign finance 2000...largest campaign finance fraud investigation in us history.

Bush, no ..gate...issues in office
Clinton...travelgate, filegate, whitwater, the vince foster coverup. the montana land grab, whitewater, the cattle futures fiasco, the health care fiasco, what is....is, monicagate, jennifer, paula, etc.

Bush, valid health care reform with the private investment pre tax dollar health care account.
Clinton...botched attempt to nationalize health care ultimately voted down by congress and widely panned by the ama.

once again....yawn...another LIBERAL...in desparate need of a fact checker.
