to understand us before they judge...and if you read our Quran...i mean accually read it. some non-Muslims selectivly read the Quran just like the terrorist "Muslims" there would be less hate because the ppl would know what they were charging us with and did you notice what BOBBY said. he say we don't stand up. well if you check out MY QUESTIONS that i have personally posted. you'll see that recently i've been taking that stand that he claim we don't take. i even have some sites and Ayats from the Quran to back me up. I have Muslim family in Egypt and I have Christian family in the States. I'm no terrorist but i pray for them. for they are misguided. Muslims have been given a rep that is inevitibly redeemable. America has been taught to hate us...you have a leader, a "role modle" that speaks for the ppl. i'm sorry but i wouldn't want someone like that to speak on my behalf. Mr Bush taugh ever one to hate us. i admit our Arab counter-parts had there role too. it's not all Mr. Bush, but he's not innocent. He fights with bombs too. how is he any better. does this make him a terrorist too...humm i think i might post that Q. may you be guided - Allahu a3lam

If the Muslim community would stand up and unconditionally condemn terrorism and violence, then I would be more sympathetic to their plight. However, statistics show that between 1/10 and 1/4 of Muslims can "understand" or "tolerate" the acts of terror, and THAT is why they are profiled. Even more Muslims than that have stated that they would not disclose information on a terrorist plot. When you can find large groups of Muslims who will stand by and watch suicide bombings, etc, with condemning them- that is bad news.
Even the religious leaders refuse to take a stand against terrorism. Imams have yet to apologize for extremists, or even to say outright that they are wrong. In fact, some Imams are the source of the problem, having declared a jihad against westerners.
Combine all of this with the statements held in the Koran concerning the rewards of martyrdom and the necessity of killing infidels, and governments are justified in their trust issues. It is certainly NOT a "religion of peace"- the vast majority of terrorists are Arabic Muslims.
As I said, I know in my heart that most Muslims are peaceful and innocent. But following such a scary religion associated with such evil practitioners means that they very well might be profiled.
Muslims of the world: Just condemn the terrorists, and I won't have a problem with you. Until then...

I'm not an arab, but the obvious suggestion would be to stop being paranoid and stop being suspecious of arabs.
