I'm with you, they pretty much all sucked. One Valentines Day I went to a club and met a group of guys. We ended up going back to their place and just hung out (nothing happened!). Come to find out that one of them was 15. He used a fake ID to get into the 18 and up club. I'm just glad I didn't swap juices of any kind with him. Then there was this past year. My boyfriend forgot that it was VD and he called me up at about 2 in the afternoon and decided that he was going to take me on a picnic at the park. The park ended up being flooded with homeless people who kept bugging us for food. It was a sweet thought (for having forgotten about VD and planning it at the last minute) but it just didn't do, I still wasn't happy. So, this year it's probably going to suck again. My boyfriend won't be around, he'll be on some boat doing whatever it is he does (military). So, needless to say, VD sucks and I'm not quite sure if I'll ever like it.

My husband use to drink heavily. He came home valentine's 4 hours after we were to go out. He was drunk and started breaking all of my belongings. My mother had just died 2 months before. He broke some of the things she had left to me. I was pregnant with our youngest son at that time. He walked out and left for 5 days on valentine's. It was a bad day. Thank God those days don't happen as often anymore.

Thank you for letting me tell you. I hope you will have a good one for a change.

a date freaked out the day of and decided we weren't right for each other. he called me that afternoon and said he realized i deserved better and that v-day was for people in love and we weren't and he was going to "let me go". i started out calm and said, let's just have dinner, i am cool that we aren't in love, but he was having like a panic attack. looking back on it, he probably had a better offer. he just kept insisting that we not have dinner. till i flipped back. i told him off and i didn't even like him that much either. i didn't/don't care about v-day that much. i just didn't want to get stood up for my date. what an idiot he was....
