honestly, get like a 1988-92 volvo 240 DL. theyre hideous, boxy/awesome, slow, safe, cheap and indrestructable. I guarentee you that youll remember that car forever. You wont get mad at yourself if you bump into somehting/someone, it will be very reliable, everyone will recognize your car, its INDESTRUCTABLE, safe and slow (parents like these, and it will keep you outta trouble. 3 of my best friends were killed in an accident not too long ago. trust me, you dont wanna go through this in highschool).
and get a stick one. itll be more fun/make you a better driver. Its a car you wont really have to worry about, and will probably outlive your next 3 cars.
and theyre so goofy, theyre fun and memorable, which is how a first car should be.

Avoid old Pontiacs. I recommend an older ford FOCUS.

i say an old supra like 86-90's or mistubishi 3000gt VR-4 if u can find one for 3k (big bang for buck) i found one for 4 k so..........
