I'm a long ways away from getting married. I've always been curious though. Do you believe that everyone has a soulmate? If you're married, how did you know that he or she was "the one". Getting married is a pretty serious thing... and yeah. What do you think?

I do believe we all have a soul mate, just not sure we all meet them. Love has no rules so we think we are in love many times before the real thing hits ya. What makes for a good relationship, marriage to me is first and foremost, communication. Without that you can't even have trust, you can't get to know one another, know what each others wants and needs are, what are their dreams, goals. Yes getting married is a very big thing in life and should not be entered into lightly. I can't speak from experience on the soul mate thing as far as me having on. I do not know that yet. To me a soul mate wants to know everything about you, hurts when you hurt, is happy when your happy etc. A soul mate lifts the other one up when they fall and builds one another up. I hope some of what I said is helpful to you in your decision.

I think everyone has a person they are compatible with yes. Sometimes you will know the person is the one, other times you won't. You just have to believe in love. Getting married is a serious thing, it takes two people working together with each other to make all of it work out, it can't be one sided.

Well, if you really want to know, I think everyone has the "one" that's waiting for them somewhere. You just have to look. Start paying attention to what you'd like in someone you'd like to start a life w/. Say, for instance, you'd like someone that makes you smile and laugh. Then you'd like to pay attention to people who have that quality. But that doesn't mean that someone who doesn't posses this quality isn't for you. It means that you might have a better chance w/ them. But getting married is a big thing. A whole different matter. If you are in deep love w/ a person and you know that they love you back, you might consider marrying them. But you'd have to think it over for a long time. It's serious but also one of the most devoted actions you and your soulmate will ever have. :)

You will never know if someone is your soul mate. Your feelings can be one way. I have seen couples who have been married for many years and they start (physically) look like brother and sister or just like each other. That would be an ideal soul mate when a couple morphs as one. Think alike or knows what each other thinking. Just seek out pictures on the net of couples who been married over twenty years.

I have been fortunate to have two. My husband and I met when we were 16, got married right out of high school. It was beautiful for 11 years until he went to work and died in an accident. I only now have found anyone remotely as good. I am engaged now, but it is like my fiance is my husband coming back. They are so similar. Excuse me for going there... I forgot the question!

soulmate?
there is no such thing.
yes getting married is a very serious thing.
think once, then twice then three times, if you are still sure. you probably have the right one for you.
and remember your husband/wife will do things that drive you crazy. it's a matter of learning to live with it if you love them enough.

i think that there is that special someone out there for everyone. When you're married you share a special bond together. You love each other and you want to spend the rest of your life together. I know it sounds weird but you just know.

There is someone out there for everyone.
You have to keep your eyes open or they could pass right by you if you don't take the chance
