I don't mean racist comments-Im referring to jokes by stand up comedians about white people. If a white comedian did the same, he would be called a racist-why?
(and yes, I know about the racist comments made by Michael Richards-thats not what I'm talking about.)

It's just a sensitive subject still bro. I mean whites can but they have to be careful. Just like Isiah Washington from Greys Anatomy and his F@g comment, somethings unfortunately aren't covered under freedom of speech afterall.

If a comedian has a sharp mind he doesn't need to refer to any race, color or creed in order to make people laugh.

its because we made ourselves believe this, weve let this happen. its not racist if the intent isnt to harm or denounce the ppl as a whole, so go ahead and tell a joke if thats all it really is.

I guess people think that white people owe us since they use to be able to make fun of us without getting yelled at. I think we should all be able to laugh at each other once it doesn't hurt someones feelings.

i dont think black people get away with it as easy as you think. i agree with you that there are racist black people just like there are racist white people but i really dont think they get away with it anymore than white people do.
