It's by far the worst one of the series. I think the chick was having some serious writer's block and was up against a deadline so she just threw this junk together to make money. Nothing really gets resolved, does it? At the end, we're right back where we were at the end of book four, Voldemort's back. Duh! As for the Half Blood Prince, it's nothing like Phoenix. It's superior in every way. Before that one came out, I thought the second one, The Chamber of Secrets, was the best Harry Potter novel. Now I think the Prince is. I recommend it highly. Check it out. I think you're agree it's the best one so far.

Yes, I found it dull. My friends and I called it "Harry Potter and the Endless Day Diary" or "Harry Potter and the Continual Whine."
The very end was much more interesting but the whole book is frustrating because one would think that, after four years of the same thing happening, the adults in Potter's life would learn NOT to with hold information from him and he would learn to not go off half-cocked.
As for the movie... yes they are... it comes out this year. It won't be hard to convert it to a movie... most of it will be taken up by the incident at the Ministry of Magic, anyway. The rest will be the stuff about Umbridge. Actually, it will be a lot better as a movie, because the pacing will improve considerably with the editing required to pare it down to two or three hours.

Actually, Order is my second favorite of the books, tied with Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone (Prisoner is my favorite book). I didn't find it boring at all. In fact, I think it shows more character development than most of the other books. My main theory on this book is that yes, it is long, yes there is a lot of information that would normally be considered "extraneous" and a lot of people feel frustrated reading it. But guess what? That's exactly what Harry is feeling throughout the entire book. No one is listening to him. In fact, most people think he's insane. So personally, I think the reader is supposed to be frustrated by the book, at least to some extent, because Harry is.
Also, the movie comes out July 13 of this year.
Half-Blood Prince goes a lot quicker and there's less information about regular school stuff, like classes, homework, etc. I think that a lot of people who did not enjoy Order did enjoy HBP, so give it a shot.

actually, Order of the Phoenix is one of my very favorite ones (possibly my favorite) in the whole series. I don't find it boring at all. It is much longer, and there is less plot and more character development than in the other books - which is what I love about it. I absolutely adore the insight we get into Harry through his mind and dreams. I also enjoy the political overtones of the book. But like another answerer said, you're entitled to your opinions. Different people read Harry potter for different reasons and the books are complicated enough that they appeal to people in different ways and for different reasons.
Yes, they have just about finished the movie and it will be released this summer. They have a really wonderful actress (Imelda Staunton) playing Professor Umbridge and so far it looks like it will be good.

No, I don't think it's boring at all, and the film is coming out in July, it's in the post-production stages I believe. Half-blood prince was very exciting, I thought.

got it in one kate. Phoenix is actually my favourite so far and I don't understand why people don't like it too.
Prisoner of Azkaban's my second favourite merely because it was the first i ever read. it's definitely got the best opening paragraph, PoA.

I love to read but that book seemed to droll on over the pretty predictable ''the adults don't believe us so we will do it ourselves''storyline, but i did like the ending though.

It's only 14 degrees outside, I'm sure you must be a little chilly. I have an oversized shirt you can borrow. Hell, I'll just give it to you.
Oh, wait, what was your question?
