I don't think people understand it anymore. Like, being a flower child meant something when it first came about. Now all people do is buy the clothes and abuse them accordingly.

Yes and my husband and I both went through our hippie faze. We raised some really great kids. The hippie movement actually started out as a Jesus Freak movement. A little tid-bit that few know.

seriously, i can't count how many people have said to me, "if you were born in the 60's you would have been a flower child." so yeah, i guess so

my mom says i went through a hippie phase in high school. i was a vegetarian, wore tie dye, recycled EVERYTHING, got into animal rights and had a bf who was the same way.
