Can Goldfish and sharks live in the same tank and not kill each other?

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can have goldfish and fresk water sharks in the same tank together?

You can't put goldfish in the same tank with tropical fish. They have different temperature requirements and different water quality requirements. Compatibility is not really an issue here because of the other more important environmental issues, but if these were fancy goldfish, they most definitely could not live with any fish other than other fancy goldfish. They swim too slow and would get picked on and wouldn't get any food. The fast goldfish such as comets and commons would probably get along okay, but as I said, compatibility is irrelevant in light of environmental issues.

There are many reasons why this is not a good idea. First Goldfish are cold water and the sharks are tropical, however they could co exist. The main reason this is not feasible is that Goldfish are the largest producers of ammonia in the fish world earning them the title of one of the "dirtiest" fishes. The ammonia in their waste will eventually build up and poison the freshwater sharks. This would occur even with regular water changes and filter changes. Maybe not right away, but it will happen eventually. Good Luck

also goldfish are coldwater fish and and bala sharks are tropical

Actually, the goldfish's urine will kill the sharks. It won't happen immediately.....but give it a week or two.

Not to make you feel stupid but goldfish being COLDWATER fish shouldnt go w/ tropical fish like sharks being WARMWATER, fish. So I would say no.
