Mine is from To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, by the character Atticus Finch.

I have 10 pages of quotes I keep saved on my computer, and I add to it when I find ones I enjoy! Here's a few of my absolute favorites. Hope you like them!

"No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally, and often far more, worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond." --C. S. Lewis

“I’ve got the perfect temperament for a writer; perfectly happy alone in a room making things up.” – J. K. Rowling

“A room without books is like a body without a soul” – Cicero

“The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug.” - Mark Twain

"Don't be 'a writer.' Be writing." – William Faulkner

And last, but not least:
“Don’t join the book burners. Don’t think you’re going to conceal faults by concealing evidence that they ever existed. Don’t be afraid to go in your library and read every book … . [W]e have got to fight it with something better, not try to conceal the thinking of our own people. They are part of America. And even if they think ideas that are contrary to ours, their right to say them, their right to record them, and their right to have them at places where they’re accessible to others is unquestioned, or it’s not America.” - Dwight Eisenhower

It's by Ben Johnson, and it's great for when people are being critical towards you:

"Thy praise or dispraise is to me alike;
One doth not stroke me, nor the other strike."

Really puts people in their place! Lets them know what you think of their opinion. I try to save it for special occasions.
