Why answer an anime-related question if you DON'T LIKE ANIME!?!?!? There's no common sense there. Morons! It's like someone going into the Religious Section and answering "I HATE GOD! GOD DOES NOT EXIST!" Does anyone agree with me?

Exactly. The people who respond to a question about an anime series by saying that they hate anime really annoy me. Aside from that, the people who hate anime don't even put forth logical reasons for hating it. It's either something like "People will think you're weird if you watch it" or "Anime is gay" or something to that effect. What's even more ridiculous is that they support their ill-informed conclusions when they usually have hardly watched anime or have tried to find a series that they like. If they don't like anime, then they don't have to answer questions about it.
By the way, there are people in the Religion and Spirituality section who answer "God does not exist" or something to that effect to a question about Christianity or God's nature or attributes. They tick me off.

I do not scorn or despise believers. I was once once myself. However, i get annoyed when some one asks a question and then insults all those that give a genuine and honest replay. Case in point: "Are satanists and atheists the same" To which I pointed out that as atheists don't believe in satan, no. He then modded the question to say "wow, they don't believe in satan, I never knew they were so brainwashed!" I found it a little offensive that this guy felt that he was perfectly withion his rights to openly attack my personal choice when I had been quite polite and nice to him. So I would like to throw the question back to you: Why do some Christians answer questions showing hatred and self-centred smugness?

I no longer become angry with those people, I kind of find them the equivalent of a housefly coming towards my face: rather annoying. As a matter of fact, I feel sorry for them actually.
Instead of putting something intelligent that will aid their fellow man, they'd rather hog the spotlight simply so others can state how incredibly stupid they appear, wasting our time responding to someone that may never read the question again to see the replies; plus preventing us from providing a clear answer due to the minor anger that rises within us for viewing a stupid response to a usually well-thought question.
I personally would believe in any subject, if a question is asked and the response is the specific subject "sucks", "is gay" or my personal favorite; "you shouldn't look at/do/watch/perform", I would consider them as 8 year olds that still have some maturing to do. This isn't 2nd grade, if you hate something you have to post WHY you hate it, not just say you hate it "because you can".

I see that all the time, and yeah it does get pretty annoying at times.. I don't understand why anyone would ever answer a question about a subject they hate... and to make matters worse won't [in any way] help the person who asked in the first place.. why would you intentionally answer [anime] questions when you say you hate them so much.. it seems pretty hypocritical to me. Sorry if that last part didn't make sense.

I agree with you they don't like it then they don't have to watch it. they just think they're cool
but they are just a bunch of losers who have nothing to do but criticize everyone else. They are just mad at themselves and want to take it out on other ppls interests. I mean i dont go around saying i hate rap to those who ask questions about it so they should mind their own business and go get a life. And if only they gave anime a chance they probably would like it. Those SOBs they piss me off soooo much!

I'm not an anime fan, but I know what you're talking about and yes it is annoying.
But don't think that anime fans are ALWAYS the victims though; I've seen people ask questions about comics and someone would say something like: "read manga it is better than comics you won't go back to comics because it's way better"... I guess I'm trying to say that there are annoying people on both ends.

I AGREE THEY ARE SO ANNNOYING
and even worse when they go in a animation forum and start a 'i hate anime' thread. i saw one like that and the guy was getting flamed and they were arguing over whether animation=anime or not..lol

DAMN RIGHT. Why bother answer something that you don't want to answer. If you don't like it, leave quietly. Don't just say "THAT WAS @$%" Just for the sake of saying it. As the saying goes "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt"
