Well hear is the problem im still having.

Ok the problem im having with pop-up's started when I downloaded and installed Windows Live Messenger Khalid Edition to fix the error of logging on and checking my mail. Well the software did fix the problem I was having with messenger but it enabled pop-up's to appear on my screen. I uninstalled and deleted the program hopping they would go away but they still come back. Ive tryd everyway to block the pop-ups from the Help and Support and even downloaded the best pop up blocker i could get and they just keep coming back. I just dont know what to do anymore to stop the pop up's.

I was told to get Ad-ware removal program to get rid of the add ware that got on my computer and did it worked tested the internet no more pop up's but the very next day they some how came back. I did find somthing new out though that when im on the internet and a page loads up I find at the bottom left corner it says Done, but with errors on page.

I had a similar problem in the past, and found that if you disable windows messenger, it stops almost all of the pop-ups. You're probably getting grey boxes that say things like "buy our program...stop these annoying pop-ups!"

You have not updated your windows software. Update, that will give you a pop up blocker on Explorer

download FirefoxMozilla, the popups are gone and its a SAFE browser verses Explorer.

Explorer use ACTIVE X to upgrade so that Windows and others like your Mcaffee and others can literally take over your computer and read files and change them.

Unfortunately, with ACTIVE X , the Trogan Horses and Virues can also get into there and take over it and read your files and change them too. It can even put a Key logger in and know every key you hit. . Remember, Explorer has and needs this function. So I use FirefoxMozilla for most of my browsing which does not use ACTIVE X and only use Explorer daily to get upgrades.

You can inactivate Active X, go to Security, and then check appropriate boxes for Active X to do so However, really you need that thing for the upgrades almost daily.

if u downloaded the pop up blockers from the internet, chances are that they themselves are infected with spyware. buy anti spyware from norton or mcafee.

try also firefox and select its anti pop-up option.
