Well I want to know why teens like to watch scary movies its for a high school project..can u teenagers out there help me?

I loved scary movies as a teen. The movies give you a excitement and a rush. Almost like being on a rollacoster ride. Now, The only scary movies they make are acually more ghory and disturbing. When I was a teen we didn't watch movies like Saw, we watched Freddy Kruger and Jason. Very different from what teens like now.

there are many reasons why they like to watch them but it depends on the teen and the movie.
wovies like scream and i know what you did last summer etc are because of the suspense and the thrill.
most teens are at the point where they are bored with life and want a scare to snap them to a new reality the excitement and adrenalin flow seems like a great feeling.
there is also the notion of feeling a lot smarter either by figuring out who the killer is etc and by the old "why would you run upstairs i wouldnt have done that"
other people simply like to see the gore in the same way that some people want to watch sexy movies to see the nudity or watch romance films to feel happy

Im not a teenager but I think I can give some ideas. One reason is that teenagers have a lot of energy. They like to scream and make noise to burn off all the extra energy they have. Another reason is that it gives girls an excuse to reach over and cling onto the boy that their watching the movie with. Just ideas...

I'm no longer a teen, I'm 23, but I have always loved scary movies. I watched them when I was a little kid and have continued loving them, and will always choose scary/horror movies over others.

What the hell happened to scary movies lately anyway? When I was younger, it was just a movie to scare you...seems like the last year or two, they're making movies to F' you up for life...

I'm a teen, and I dont' like scary movies. They scare me. Most people like it for the rage of adrenaline.

your right teens do like scary movies. i did when i was a teen. i also liked to read scary books too. now that i am old, i kinda like um.
