Well, Yoda blew it against the Emperor. The guy was living in the same CITY (large as it might have been, the offices of both the Jedi (a whole bunch of them, wandering around for lunch and going in and out of meditation boxes, going to the restroom, and what not...) and Palpatine were a mere R2D2 bolt's throw away and Yoda et al could NOT detect his MAJOR BAD VIBES.
Spock blew it several times in failing to anticipate major problems that he probably could have figured out far before Kirk could get his lips off of...whomever he was with. Like, "Dude! If you are so reflective and analytical, why couldn't you anticipate THIS?!"
So, both have major failings.
But, after the damage is done, who is morer effective in getting or helping get a better outcome? Yoda? He ran away and then helped "guide" things from afar...or did he? Spock usually ended up doing "emotional" and "irrational" things that brought about the needed result; then he tried to cover it up as 'logic." Well?

I do find it interesting that for being a Vulcan, Spock fails just as much as the average human. He might have denied the fact that he was showing emotion, but I really do think he noticed the comfort that was on the ship and he wanted very much to understand WHY this unexplainable phenom was taking place and he had no knowledge, nor could fully comprehend its action.Though it is rather difficult to anticipate others when you're being pulled emotionally by many other things that activate around you. I did find it cute however that he was attempting so hard to deny the fact that he had let humanity seep into his core and affect his being.

For Yoda, I really do think that he was sensing the problems that would arise if Anakin was to continue talking to Palpatine; which is why he attempted to warn him, but like all humans, the emotions get in the way of what is best and affect our better judgments. Though, I would have to disagree about the "running away". The Imperial Army was gathering by the thousands thanks to the Storm Troopers, Anakin was now evil, and Yoda sensed the death of all of his fellow comrades of the Jedi Council. No matter how strong they were, he knew he couldn't handle them alone.

Strong is Spock, yes. Yoda more understand, he does. Win, Yoda does.

Yoda because the Star Wars universe is based off of good vs evil and Yoda " helped" destroy that evil in training Luke Skywalker.

I'd say Spock, Yoda has his moments, but it seems the Jedi Knights like to sit around and contemplate while Spock is a man of action, make no bones about it. (Spock? Bones? I made a funny)!
