No, not really, since I specialized in criminal profiling while in the Israeli army and worked in military police and special forces for the rest of my three year army work.
Let me give you some tips.
When you make a new acquaintance, especially a man, ask the right questions, directly.
Take all his phone numbers, call randomly.
One night, when you do not have plans to go out and he is doing his own thing, get into a friend's car and tail him.
Do not jump into a sexual relationship right away.
Make sure he introduces you to his friends and family.
Do not open up too fast or tell him your darkest deepest secrets, till he is worthy of your trust.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT make excuses for him and see what you want to see instead of the truth.
All bets are off if you are dating a CIA, FBI, all other covert agencies operatives or Batman, Superman, Spider-man. (They lead a double life, you see.)
Good Luck.

Yes, my husband. We have been married for 10 years and in the beginning it was great. He couldnt have been a better husband and father but then he started drinking heavily, being mean to me and the kids and started cheating on me. We are in the process of getting a divorce now which is very hard because he is totally not the man I married 10 years ago but I do pray for the children's sake that he changes and gets the help that he needs but I would never take him back at this point.
Good luck to you.

Yeah, it sucks when that happens. The lesson, I guess, is that actions speak louder than words. Words (e.g. compliments that stroke your ego and feed your dreamd) can deceive, but if you turn off your ego and evaluate the behavior of others, then everything is more clear.
