So, at the very bottom, t should be set to 10. If you do this x works by solving log(31200/24567)=10log(1+x)
x=10^[log(31200/24567)/10]-1 so x= 2.4%. Therefore, in the year 2000, based on the value of x just obtained, the population should be about: 24567*(1.024)^30=50043 people; In the year 2010, the population would be about:24567*(1.024)^40=63438; finally, in the year 2020, the population should be about:24567*(1.024)^50=80417.
