No you are not wasting your time at all! Just keep up writing and maybe you will even make a really good novel that you can publish. Best of luck to you and have fun with writing :)

Oh gosh no. I'm 12 and this summer I wrote a 162 page novel. I never stop writing stories or entering essay contests. You aren't wasting your time at all. If you love to write, it should fulfill your need to be creative. If you want to do something with this talented novel you wrote, with a lot of extra work, you can publish it with a juvenile publishing company. Kudos to you- Most kids dread writing!

I started writing simple things when I was 8, I just hope you have more discpline than me. If you want to write a novel or story go with it, but you have to stick to it I kept on bouncing from project to project and never got anything done, don't let that happen to you. Good luck hope I get to see your name on the New York Times Best seller list. From my seat at the Oscars of course :)

no. try not to take it so seriously and have fun with it. It will make for a better story in the end. The good part about only being 14 is that you can take your time and perfect it and take a very long time to finish if you need too.

No you are not, and I will tell you something when I was your age I loved to draw, and make up stories about my characters. I still do, and it is my passion, so if writing is what you love to do stick with it, and who know maybe you might be another famous rich writer some day like John Grisham, or J.K. Rowling so if it is what you like to do stick with it, and if you do consider it as a career some day I hope you can be successful, and happy. Good luck pal, as you find yourself, and travel on this journey called life.

You have to be really dedicated to write a novel or story, and by you asking this question, are you doubting your self already? Listen to your heart not to what others are saying or will say, its your decision not anyone Else's, others can only give you advise, not the answer, or the answer that you are hoping for.

No, of course not. Most writers started out young. As long as you are dedicated, your efforts won't go to waste. Plus, if it makes you happy, then you might as well go for it.
