Normally you start a review saying what the movie was based on (in this case the novel and author) give some plot points and cast and then your opinions.

first i would rate the movie in stars eg 3 stars etc. then pick out the flaws ar good work first of specific actors then turn that to the director

eg

"this film was superb from the start to the end jane smith who played jane doh was riveting in her performance and really made you believe it. no doubt this was helped by the visionary directing of john doe who really captured the essence of john steinbacks story. in my opinion 5 stars for this movie"

obviously you should use the correct names.

i also suggest using a thesauras to find stand out words like "superb riviting etc" you can use an online thesaurus at www.dictionary.com that is very handy
