I would like to be a child protective services worker, but I have been unable to find any information on how to go about it. I do not know what qualifications I need, or what schooling I need.

Your best bet would be to apply to 4-year colleges, and major in Family Studies, Developmental Psychology, or something like that. There are some colleges that offer a BSW (Bachelors degree in Social Work), so that could be a possibility for you, although this particular degree is not necessary in order to become qualified for a job in social services.

After you graduate, find a job in a social services field, and work there for a year or three. You may decide to stay at this level of employment, or you may decide that further education will help you attain further goals. In any event, your job in the field will strengthen your application if you decide to apply to graduate MSW programs. An MSW will qualify you for administrative positions.

You need a degree in social work or health and human services. Bachelors are usually preferred. I attend the University of Phoenix and my major is Health Administration. I want to be a social worker. Even though UoP has gotten a bad reputation for some reason, I have not had a problem. I graduate in May with my Associates and start my Bachelors in June. I am going to get my Masters and Doctorate as well.

most likely a degree in Social Work. A masters will take you about 6-7 years (that includes bachelor hours) including the intern hours that you need to become licensed.
