Yes, higher frequency response will always work.

yes you can, depending on the motherboard you have. all the motherboards have a minimum and maximum of memory frequency you can install. if you are currently using DDR 2700 you should be able to use DDR 3200. we do that all the time here at work. I work with gateway computers in the IT department and I am always swapping memory modules between computers. if you notice a problem with performance try using DDR 3200 by itself and check if that solved the problem if not try a different memory stick if it's still the same then you motherboard does not support DDR 3200. another way you can check is by going to the manufacture's website of your computer and find the model of your PC they will tell you your PC's specifications.

It really depends on your motherboard. Although higher frequency may work, it can cause you system to become unstable and crash alot.
