Gee, how did I know this was your question? Anyway, it's not immoral, but......well, would you want to be the one responsible for having to perform CPR on the elderly after you frighten them? Think about it.....

It is disrespectful but not immoral. My dad used to do it to my grandma all the time when we'd go to visit. My dad would pull up to the kitchen window and blare it - knowing that that was where grandma was at.
