The mother-to-be is new in the area and she doesn't know the other guests very well, nor do they know her well.

everyone gets a pacifier on a lanyard when they enter and told they can not say "baby". whenever a guest catches the other saying "baby" they take the pacifier away and put it around their own neck. the guest at the end of the night with the most pacifiers wins a small prize.

guess the jellybeans in the baby bottle

if there are veteran moms there, this is a great game - ask each to share their funniest "new mom" moment. winner by popular vote.

at my friends party, we took diapers and filled them with a candybar that we put in the blender and mashed all up so it looks kinda like ...well...ya know what it looked like. Anyway, we would pass the chocolate filled diapers around and the guest had to smell each diaper and take a good look and guess what kind of candybar it was. Luckily it smells a lot better than it looks, but you get some very funny pictures as the guest smell the dirty looking diapers.
Also there is a game where each guest gets a pen and they stick it in their mouth, and stand in a circle. Then you take a single pacifier and the guests have to pass the pacifier onto the next persons withoout using any hands. Careful ly of course, because it slides off VERY easily! If you drop it you sit down. The last one standing gets the door prize. This will help her warm up to people because you get very up close and personal trying to pass the pacifier to the next person and it's impossible to watch without laughing hysterically and cracking jokes. As you can imagine it also makes for some funny pics.
Have fun!

When I went to my friends baby shower we played this game where we took a piece of a clothes line and hung various baby items on it with clothes pins. Things like a diaper, booties, towel, pacifier and so on. Two people walked the line through the room and the guests had a certain amount of time to write down as many things as they saw. The person with most right got a prize. I hope this helped a little.

I have been to and given several baby showers. The best games to play, especially if guests don't know her well, are the following:

Baby food taste test (cover the labels of 3 or so diff. baby foods. Guests need to taste each and guess on a paper what they believe is in each jar)(use disposable spoons for each person).

Baby Bingo-
Baby Scatagories
etc.

take 6 diapers, in each diaper take a differnt piece of melted candy bar and make your guests look, smell and even taste and guess the candy bar inside, it sounds nasty but it gets loads of laughs AND also take sheets of paper and hand out pencils and make everyone shut there eyes a draw a baby with your eyes closed
