.
I think with his country's oil revenue, Chavez has the money to upgrade and fund a real military. Do not underestimate him. Cuba has no oil so don't compare.

Doubt it. I think Chavez will get done in the old fashioned, South American way... military coup!

You give no reason why you think Venzuela should be attacked. Do you believe that Bush should go around the world declairing war on all dictators ?
War was declaired on Iraq not because Saddam was a dictator, but because he was training and financing terrorists who bombed New York and Washington, and would have destroyed everything if given a chance.
If Chavez plays the same game, he should, and probably will be attached, no matter who the president is at the time.

The Bushwacker is liable to bi-ch slap Chavez just for the U.N. devil comment. Look what Chaney made Libby do to that CIA agent for her husband insulting him in print, and she was on our side. Do you think George W. forgot about the big stick Teddy used to swat flies like Chavez with back before big money ODed on Middle East oil. As Soon as Jeb cleans up the mess W made of things in Iraq, Chavez is toast. The Bush family make the Corleone family look like Ozzie and Harriet.

would you have preferred we did nothing about the world trade center attacks and then sat back and watched as a madman continued to murder his own people? Heck we are considered uncaring if we don't let people come freely into our country and use our resources because their countries suck, but when we do something to help, we are considered a bully. Make up your mind already.

my point was not so much having to do with the world trade center so much as it was what our policy on attacking other countries should be. On one hand we are ridiculed for not caring about human rights because we don't think it is great that illegal immigrants are invading our country and at the same time we are said to be murderous bullies because we want to protect our nations interests by (1) facing an enemy who wants to destroy our country and (2) not allowing a dictator who was insane and hates our country to continue having free reign.

While many people hide behind news reports of what was real and not real - lets not forget the facts that Sadam did gas his own people and was developing weapons -

Wouldn't surprise me.
Wasn't modified excuse #36 for attacking Iraq the elimination of a tyrant?

I wouldnt shed a tear for his demise.

Not practical, but I have no silly "moral" objection. It wouldnt serve our interests.

Invading Iraq didnt serve our interests the way Bush thought it would. I saw this way before the insurgency problems ...the moment they adopted SHARIAH LAW in their constitution, the conclusion was clear. Wasted effort.
