how long does it take for an elephant to have a baby?!?

my grandma say's it takes more than a year and im don't know if it was true i think its only 9 months and if you know what it realy is plzzzz tell me.

It takes 2 years. Different species have different gestation times

2 years is right and if you don't know type it into google or what ever system you have it should tell you

but yes 2 years poor elephant

They're pregnant for about two years, more exactly about 22 months.
