And if so...wasn't Bush going to fire anyone responsible? Besides didn't Reagan make it a crime?

David, come on now...for the good of the country. When this man was telling us what we all know now to be the facts. That Bush was exagerating,(at best) and outright telling lies, (at the worst) that lead to this unpopular war that we now find ourselves in with no solutions.

Hard to say.
The one thing politicians (in BOTH parties) excel at is covering their own asses. (At least...in a technical, legal sense.)
A lot of times, they'll make sure that THEY personally are "out of the loop"...although they sure as hell know that there IS a loop, and they know exactly what it's for.
Sadly, there are very few politicians who are honest...and a lot of them excuse their little "indiscretions" by claiming that....well, yes I may have TECHNICALLY broken the law a little....but I was doing it for the good of the country, etc.

George Bush used solid records to justify his conflict. George Wilson grow to be despatched via the CIA to substantiate the records. He couldn't. Libby is just the opening round of scandal. It goes all the way. Question is, will we ever see the truth come out?

The scandal is manufactured to begin with. Have you noticed NO ONE has been charged with the 'crime' that was allegedly being investigated? It has been revealed that the prosecutor knew who 'leaked' the name within a week of starting his 3 year investigation. That person is NOT a member of the administration.

Scooter Libby will be found not guilty...it will not go any higher, and Fitzgerald will resign. It all comes down to burden of proof, and really there is none...a bunch of he said she said and it has not become a trial to determine if someone outed Plame because she was never considered under cover, but instead about who said what when...pretty ridiculous.

It goes no further than the prosecuter. Libby did nothing wrong. He had no role in the Plame business. He couldn't remember some details because the whole issue of who or what she was didn't matter to him.
