Bob Hayes, a gold-medal winner in the 100 meters and 400-meter relay at the 1964 Olympics who went on to revolutionize the wide receiver position in an 11-year NFL career, all but one with the Dallas Cowboys, died Sept. 18 at the age of 60.

All the other American running medals were won by white guys except for Billy Mills in the 10,000 - he is a Native American.
