They're cheap as babies, tend to look adorable, and sell phenomenally well. HOWEVER, they tend to be hand shy, expensive to set up, and impossible to re-sell.

They're good pets if you have the time, space, and money to buy the lighting needs. Otherwise, stay away for many years to come. Skittles(my iggy) has proven himself to be over 300$ so far, and he was only 15$!

If you're thinking about it, the answer I would give is NO.

Hate to go against the grain here... But...

Green iguanas are greatly over produced and seldom care for properly. Please do your research about them before you get one and if you get one... ADOPT IT FROM A RESCUE!

Its a peaceful reptile, would compliant about food or accommodation.Its does bother you too.
