Till this day the Exorcist still sends chills down my spine,Everything about it creeps me out,, to think the movie is 33 yrs old and one one even comes close to making a horror like that,The horror movies they make these days are a joke,,They just look so fake using computer images,Also John Carpender's The Thing was really scary,Made really well

I won't watch them much anymore-- they've gotten so brutal. But I'd have to agree that The Shining and the original Exorcist were long-term scary! Jack Nicholson STILL scares me, no matter what role he plays--- and I wouldn't want to hang out with poor little Linda Blair either!
Psycho still disturbs me--- I sometimes still lock the bathroom door when I shower, especially if I am alone in the house!!

In its day - the Exorist was the best horror film.
It scared the crap out of me when I saw it as a teenager.
Yikes.
Now everything has been done and they are mostly funny
