I mean, those people who upload them have them as .mpg's or whatever, so they should be on LimeWire or something, but alot aren't. No way to change the 'save target as' file to something watchable?

All you have to do is put the url of the YouTube video in the input box of http://www.ripzor.com/youtuberipper.html , and submit! It will return a link in the FLV format, remember to rename the file to .FLV. To be able to play an FLV file, you need an FLV Player, or an FLV Converter that will convert the file to a common format such as MPG or AVI. For further assistance on what to do with the FLV format

yes you can, just look at your temporary internet files folder and the video is there in .FILE or .FLV format. double click on it and save it with the extention .flv
you'll be able to watch it with an FLV player

Hi. There is a program called iTube that can do it, but watch out for the lawyers.
