Algebra is an exercise in logic. You do it all the time without even realizing it. For instance....

2 + X = 7

You know that X must be 5. Very rarely in life do you have the 2 things that equal a third. You need to be able to bend your mind in a different direction. Algebra is a great way to do it.

Plus, if you want to go into any mechanical or scientific career, you need to know how to do Algebra. Math is the language of science and all things mechanical. So take heart, it's not totally pointless.

You need to learn algebra because you'll see how useful it will become.

Even if you don't use it ever, learning more makes your brain expand and you'll be smarter :]

everything seems useless when ur learning it but it all makes sense when u can apply it
