I was a great fan of shameless, unfortunatly this series is sadly lacking, the story lines are poor, too much swearing, all the best characters have left and the replacements don't fit the bill.
Paul Abbott neads to come back and take control.
What do you think?

Kev and Veronica, Steve and Fiona, Marty, even Sheila had her moments. The Maguire are 'Ok' but a bit one-trick really. Frank's not really funny anymore and his character's not really going anywhere. Carl's been a prat for four series and isn't it about time Ian came out?

Debbie's still interesting and Micky Maguire might prove a good addition but everything else seems to be flailing a bit.

When's Fiona coming back with the baby? Why's Frank still a wreck even though Monika's come back to him? Why is Mandy Maguire getting progressively less attractive? How come no one talks about football? Why is the new cop fcukin mental?

We were all great fans of the series but like yourself agree this series is nowhere as good as the last one. The writers must know its not as good when the average viewer could tell after the first episode.

Definitely agree.
The writing's nothing like as sharp.
If it doesn't improve I probably won't watch anymore, not that C4 will be bothered.
