Absolutely AMAZING what these units are capable of. If you're serious about getting into the repair biz, or supremely interested in all things technical, go for the Modis, its worth the extra coin. It of course has the same scanner capabilities as the Solus, but also has lab scope functions and an internal database that shows connector locations and pinouts, known good waveforms for comparing to your scope readings, can graph up to 8 functions on its color screen, just incredible. The Solus is quite capable, can graph up to 4 functions at a time, and is updatable by CF card, just like Modis. These are not just code readers, they have troubleshooting guides based on real world experience, code tips, symptom tips. way too much to list here. Find a Snap-On dealer close to you and ask if you can sit in on his next Modis class. I attend them 2x a month and learn every time.
