The rupture of the amniotic membrane (the fluid-filled sac that surrounds the baby during pregnancy) may feel either like a sudden gush of fluid or a trickle of fluid that leaks steadily. The fluid is usually odorless and may look clear or straw-colored. If your "water breaks," write down the time this occurs, how much fluid is released and what the fluid looks like and then notify your health care provider. Although, labor may not start immediately after your water breaks, delivery of your baby will occur within the next 24 hours.
Lastly, keep in mind that not all women will have their water break when they are in labor. Many times the doctor will rupture the amniotic membrane in the hospital.

Some women feel their water break and it will be quite apparent. In some instances, the water just leaks out slowly and can appear that it is a little urine leakage. I had the latter experience with my twins.

No you can't feel the sack actually break. But you will feel like your wetting yourself. It may be a gush of warm water like substance, or it could be a small trickle, like a leaky faucet. Now the colour will be clear, and will no smell. Literally like water.

A lot of women report feeling a little pop in their bellies before feeling the gush, or the gentle trickle of amniotic fluid.

it's a very warm sensation. there is no sense of relief that comes with it... just the way a warm cloth would feel if you applied it to the area ... that is the feeling you can expect from your water breaking.
my water was broken by the doctor both times... c/sections.
