Both are really skilled actors, but Denzel gets the nod to me.

Gotta go with Denzel. He has more range. Samuel L. Jackson is Samuel L. Jackson. Gotta love him, but he is usually the same guy in all his films. He is very talented at making a part fit him, but Denzel is better at making himself fit the part. This takes more talent. His award success is further evidence of his excellence. His range of movies also says a lot about him. He's done his share of action films, but he has also done romance, horror, Shakespeare, and biographies, the latter being particularly difficult for an actor. I love Samuel L. Jackson, but I gotta go with Denzel Washington as the "best" actor.

Denzel is a little more disciplined as an actor, and he puts in a lot of effort in what he does while Samuel L. Jackson really doesn't pay attention and just goes with whatever he thinks will be cool. Not to say that he sucks. He is still very talented, but he still has more potential than what he is showing us.

Denzel Washington, in general you know that when you go to see a Denzel movie you're going to see a GREAT well acted movie. He's a consummate actor, and I think he puts a lot of thought into the rolls he takes.

I would have to go for Denzel Washington because he stars in movies that are compelling and appealing to watch.
Samuel L. Jackson isn't a bad actor, but "Snakes on a Plane" took a bite out of his career.

Why, cause they're black!? Just kidding.. I like Samuel L. Jackson better. Why? 'Cause I liked the movies he was in better. Denzel Washington is a talented actor, in fact I saw him in the movie Deja Vu last night, an excellent movie.
