Wow!!!
You figured it out.
We are Not against the war. We just want it over a little faster.
(Don't pay any attention to these little anti-war commies on Yahoo. They are just a "rabid few", that hates America.)

Firstly, only about 48% of voters voted for Bush- it was a narrow victory.
Secondly- a large percentage was due to Bush's position on Gay Marriage and Abortion. (the religion factor)
Thirdly- is opponent wasn't a strong candidate (John Kerry)
Forthly- an incredibly well run (and devious) campaign. Pulling out all the stops, from discrediting is opponents valiant military service to creating fear in the american people by regularly elevating the terrorist threat level.

When's the last time you've seen Fox News announce an elevated terror level? Not since just before the election huh?

The first time he was elected he actually received fewer votes than Al Gore, his opponent, and ended up winning the election by having more people on our Nation's supreme court rule in his favor (with some of the most asinine and politically motivated arguments ever recorded by the institution).

Technically, we aren't at war. Congress hasn't declared war against anybody.

Nobody has a problem with the President going after the terrorists that attacked us on Sept 11th. However, many of those who originally supported the police action against Iraq have come to realize a number of things:

1. There were no "weapons of mass destruction".
2. Iraq had no plans to attack us.
3. The terrorists who attacked us and Sadaam Hussein were actually enemies.
4. That many Iraqi's, despite being happy that Sadaam is gone, don't want us to be there anymore.
5. That al Qaeda actually wants us to stay in Iraq, because its helping to create more little jihadists (yes, we intercepted such communications between them).
6. Iraq should be able to govern itself by now.

Hind sight is 20/20.

As for Bush having been voted...he did not gain the popular vote. It was the electoral college that got him into office.

Because there are about 59 million who apparently did vote for him and they're stupid like he is.

It dose not matter who is in office. this country has a history of butting in where it does not belong. Korea and Vietnam are just two that come to mind. It never learns
