Why are people willing to ask what a word means but not look it up in a dictionary?

Some people will ask what a certain word means (by typing it in and submitting it as a question) when it would be just as easy to go to something like dictionary.com and type in the word and find its meaning...

but in our country we call that "laziness"

Either they are lazy or dont have a dictionary (book) to refer to or are ignorant that the internet has a free dictionary or even downright just dumb.
Yes, this is an annoying habit. There are also some people who dont take the trouble to search YA for a question they want to ask but which has been asked several times. One common question is: what are the 3 words that end in the letters 'gry'? There are also some who ask silly questions such as: what is 3 plus 3? This type of abuse of YA should be stopped forthwith.

People like that gets on my nerves.And so does people who post question wanting for us to tell them if they are pregnant or the dumb ones who says they have been coughing up green stuff mixed with blood for 3 weeks and want to know what they should do.

sometimes the dictionary is hard to understand- even with the example sentence(s).
having another person explain it in colloquial speech makes it easier sometimes

Everything is written in books or on the websites....but why are you asking this question here go and search this 1 too....

Because they don't know about the websites or this(answers.yahoo.com) was already open and they have dial up.
