I mistakely put a question after wages, meant to add a comma, instead, tried but couldn't correct my mistake. So here is my question.
Why aren't we paying our Teachers Great Wages, without Education what does our future hold for the USA?

AS former educator it was often difficult to see the need for paying educators there proper salary.

True teachers work nine months but some go back to school, teach summer school or take second job to maintain a decent income.

Today we pay those who play sports millions of dollars and yet when it comes to increase taxes for education these same people will pay to see ball game vote against education.

That's two questions, but I'll answer them both.

We aren't paying great wages because there are a lot of dedicated (some say dumb) people willing to take those jobs at the low pay rates. It's a case of supply and demand.

Without education, we would be doomed. However, education does not just happen in a classroom. Why, just today I learned not to insult my boss.

Like The NHS, the number of people working in the teaching sector, cannot be fully funded by the Government. The cost of it is too big.

I agree with you though. My twins are at school and the teaching is brilliant. The teachers deserve a far higher annual wage.

First we need great teachers. From what I see as a college instructor, if we paid teachers based on what they accomplish, most of them would starve. Even the "cream of the crop" in a top university have inadequate verbal skills and are even worse in math/science. Most of them are supposed to have studied history--and half of them couldn't tell you the date of the attack on Parl Harbor.

Education needs reforming, I'll agree. But continuing to pay incompetants to do a lousy job, much less give them raises, is NOT a solution.

My strategies, you don't be conscious of the 1st element approximately what you're talking approximately. beneficial our instructors ARE underpaid, to boot as those people who placed out lives on the line conventional. Being a prior provider member I DO have the ultimate medical care obtainable, I do have get admission to to looking residences, jobs (that includes education for suggested interest)I even have supplies i will use to pay costs, yet I even have not used any of suggested sevices through reality that I savour working for what I even have. I do have issues through Gulf conflict, yet i'm able to tighten the bootstraps while i could. yet what you say approximately our young babies appearing better, through instructor is a load of BS. particular the instructor could make learning relaxing, yet in reality, the mothers and fathers could be a factor of their young babies existence, that includes issues like being there for them to talk to approximately ANY challenge, assisting them with homework, and not being a chum, yet being a parent.

1. They only work 9 months a year, you need to factor that in.
2. It's a great gig because it's impossible to get fired, for some reason. I don't understand why.
3. You can just recycle the same curriculum every year. After all, the students are different every year.
4. There are few standards they are held to, unlike most other jobs. Efforts to put standards in place are always met with stiff resistance.

Because there are a lot of worthless teachers out there. I would love to see good teachers who truly love what they do paid large sums of money. There are many good teachers, but it seems like there are also many who thought it would be easy & it would be nice to have summers off. These people should be not be paid more than what they are now.

There are somethings that aren't working in our country....our educational system is one of them.

We need to revamp the whole system, starting with paying our teachers a decent salary.

We won't get the cream of the crop if we don't start paying top dollar.
