I don't think that that makes you a horrible mommy. as long as someone that baby knows and loves is there he will be more comfortable. I don't have kids but I do have pets (they are my kids) and sometimes you just can't look. don't feel bad!

no that dont make u a bad mommy. My little boy had his done before he left the hospital. It dont take long at all and its not as bad as it sounds and he wont even know anything about it. Now if u waited until he got older then yes that would hurt for him.

NO OF COURSE NOT!!
We didn't go in for my sons either and we asked the same question to the nurse...she said no.
Alot of parents think they can handle it and then they see him strapped down on a table and then the actual procedure and they freak.
There's no way I could handle that...I freaked out and cried right along with him at his two month shots...there's no way I could have handled a circumcision...
Don't sweat it mommy. It's all good. Now prepare yourself for the care and maintenance of the little pee pee. It's a little freaky, with the bloody bandage, and the gauze with the vasoline on it..bleck...I don't miss that part..I was freaked out until it was completely healed...(which wasn't for several weeks!)

Don't think of yourself as a bad mom. If you think about it you know his going to be with his dad and the fact that your going to be there to take care of your son after he gets it done I can't find any reason why anyone could say your a bad mom.
Think of it this way this will give him and his dad some time with each other even if his just a baby it just might be something good for him and his dad.

I couldn't do it at all so don't feel bad. My son isn't circumsized, and my new baby boy wont be circumsized either. I think it's more of a male preference anyway so I don't think you're a bad mother at all for not wanting to go.

No but it will hurt alot when they get older and he wants it done. But my doctor explain that it don't hurt the only reason why they cry is one its a very cold room that they are and they are naked the other is that the arm and legs are being held down well for 9 months they always been curled up so when you do that they tend to freak out and it don't take very long to do it either. when my first son came back i was so upset cause he was just a crying so they laid he on the bed and when they put his arm over his head he started to cry and he the same thing when they pulled his leg straight. Its no big deal millions of baby get done. It don't hurt them and its normal to fill that way. Cause if u didn't care then there is a problem.

No way are you a bad mom! I slept while my son was being circumsized. I didn't want to be there and it was so fast anyway that he was back practically before I knew it! He'll be fine and he won't remember a thing. He'll just want to be cuddled and fed by you when he gets back. Stay strong and good luck! Congrats on the baby!

no, your not a bad mommy, your a good one who loves her son and feels for him, he will have forgotten all about it by the time he gets home actually he'll forget about it within 3 minutes, so feel better, after all your the one who has to care for it til it heals, that's a lot more then taking him, thank your husband for understanding your feelings, what a nice family, it's nice to hear your working together

YES! cutting useful, sensitive parts off your son without even the comfort of his mother's breast? SHAME ON YOU!
You are having a sugical procedure done on your son and you can't even spell it? How can you have done any research?

No hunny. not at all. It's a very simple thing and the child really doesn't feel much. But, if you can't handle something this small, you are in for some bumps down the road.
Please note, that if seeing your child in any type of pain, is going to make you squimish, then you might need to seek profestional help. You will end up making a "mommas boy" out of your son and he will never live life properly. PLease don't take this as me being mean, but as me trying to help you out!! :)
