Ok, I have a male rabbit that is pretty good he doesn't bite or anything. I will be getting a hamster soon (most likely female) and I was wondering how they would react together. They're not going to be sharing a cage or anything but I just want to know if they would fight or anything, like should they be kept away from eachother?

Thanks!!!

The rabbit might not fight but the hamster sure will. Its not a good idea to mix them at all. Hamsters are territorial, cannabalistic meanies, to say the least. Rabbits live fairly well in groups.

I reccomend you play with them seperately. Just in case. You wouldn't want anything to happen to them. ^.^

Hope I was helpful. Enjoy the hamster, they can be really sweet

They might not bother each other, but rabbits are territorial too (maybe less with other species than with their own). The hamster is much smaller and could be badly injured by a simple annoyed bite by the rabbit. Rabbits also have strong hind feet and could accidentally kick the hamster or such. I;d keep them separate, but if you wish, you could let them meet face to face if they;re being held carefully.

keep them away from each other at all times as the rabbit may figure the hamster to be food or a threat and thupm it with it's foot which would definately kill the poor hamster.

people may say that one or the otehr will fight but think about it. when u buy them at the pet store they r in groups...most of the time. they grow up in a group.
now depending on how long ur rabbit has been alone depends if he'll be terrtoral or not. it depends on his personality and what he thinks of teh hamster..the only what to know is to try it ur self. but keep a close eye on them.

have fun.

It's best you should keep them away from each other. The rabbit could hurt and even kill the hamster, even if it was on accident.
