May the peace, blessings and mercy of God be upon you

I was born American, and now I live in Canada. I am 18 years old. I am a Muslim. The only time something like this happened to me was in grade 8 the day of 9/11, a black girl asked me "Is Bin Laden your daddy" and I said "No, hes my uncle" (sarcastically) and shes like "Fo real" lol not too bad

Then I had this racist Incident here in Canada
I was going to the mall and I heard this guy walking perpendicular to me say out loud, "When I grow up I want to go to your homeland" I ignored him I didnt think it was directed at me.

When we both go inside passed the doors I turn left into EB Games and I hear him say "We brought here to work, so get to work" Then I realized he said that to me. So I was like WTF Im not letting that go. Anyways he ended up going somewhere else

Oddly enough I go thru Wal-Mart and Im in the checkout and guess whos behind me, Mr. 40-55 year old low class, scruffy Canadian. I turn around and im like "YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH ME?"

Hes shuts up for a sec, and his squeaks out, " I dont got a problem with you, I got a problem with your kind" I just laughed at him. The other Cashier called him over to prevent a conflict.

But I forgive the ignorant man, it irritated me for a couple of days, but then Im like hey, that guy doesnt know anything besides the propanda on TV. He doesn't Know I was born American or that I have a Canadian Passport, or that I am not here to work, not until I finish my University (something which I doubt he had).

So I forgave that guy.

I guess the point is that we Muslims no matter what race ( I am Indo-Pakistani - light tan) there are black Muslims, White Muslims, Arabs, Chinese, South Asian, Hispanic Muslims. We are just people who believe in God alone and the Day of Judgment.

The people who are doing CRIMES are NOT FOLLOWING the Religion properly, they have deviant claims and its purely political and they are Using religion as a shield for crimes such as Murder.

Please read this page, where a scholar of Islamic Jurisprudence clearly proves why the deviant ideologies are not following Islamic Law. Which clearly says that Only a LEADER of the an Islamic Nation can declare Jihad, not any fool like Bin Laden can just call for Jihad. Even in a declared war you CANNOT kill Women, Children, Clergy etc.. You cannot kill a civilian, even if he off duty, you can only fight those who are soldiers who are on the battlefield. This Scholar also proves why Suicide Bombing is nothing but Suicide and a Crime. Suicide guarantees the person will not go to heaven, but rather hell-fire. And the 72 virgin myth is just an out right lie.

Sorry for going on and on, the point is that Muslims are just Humans who believe in God, fear his punishment and the VAST MAJORITY are good people. We are the most highly educated minority in America.

The bad people are CRIMINALS and EXTREMISTS not unlike the KKK, it wouldn't be fair to say all Christians are like this, or accept their radical ways.

God will judge us all.

Peace Be With You

I wish I could say that I understood them, but I really don't. I'm Irish, but if the US had a problem with the IRA and American lives were at risk, I'd want the gov't to do whatever it takes. I would have no problem with Irish people or myself being politely asked to step aside at an airport for extra security checks. Sure it would be humiliating, but I'd never see those people again and it would make me feel safer that no freaks were getting on that plane. I think the problem is where one's loyalty lies. To me, I am an American before anything else. To muslims, they are a Muslim first and foremost and still consider themselves part of the Middle East rather than Americans. Certainly not ALL of them, but a very large percentage are here for the economic benefits and do not really consider themselves loyal to our country.

Have about being treated fairly just like everyone else? Not kept off a plane because someone with their name MIGHT be affiliated with terrorists, might eb a start. What if everyone with the name John Smith was kept off a plan?

Imagine if you were a normal Christian who was picked up outside your church and held indefinitely without trial, lawyer, etc for years just because someone who didn't like you told someone in the police you are a terroist?

It's not about 'feeling' that Muslims are being targeted and harrassed. It's happening all the time. WAKE UP!!!

My suggestion is for non-Muslims who know nothing about Muslims (i.e. that means you) to try and find out a little about Islam and what it's like living as a Muslim in the country and the kind of racism they experience.

I am Muslim; I live in the US. I was never targeted or harassed.
Sometimes I think the US authorities go too far but I can't blame them for protecting their citizens from fanatics; Generally Muslims in the US are peace loving folks but fanatics have infiltrated the system and look for a chance to cause trouble.
Muslims in the US and mostly free and live more meaningful lives within their faith than some Eastern Muslims.

im a non muslim middle eastern american, 100%, born n raised in the usa.
i expect my family to get harassed or treated like terrorists--in the beginning of this mess.
but not now. everyone knows someone who is a good, warm hearted muslim, yet still get scared of them if they sit next to u on a plane.
theyve been thru security.
theres nothing to be afraid of.
ive seen the harassment at the airport from passengers and crew members.
if my brother, whom i grew up with and were raised and used to play and go to school everyday on this US ground, ever got looked at or treated in a prejudice way, i would cry for days.
it would be a very helpless, unfair, sad, lonely feeling. it would stay in my mind for a long time.
and thats if it ever happens to my bro, not even me.
so can u imagine howd youd feel being born n raised here and you or ur son or father got that look frm someone who just moved here frm Poland or some other non-ethnic (non-white)country?

im not muslim but i will always defend them.

Firstly, Quran 24:19 translation Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread [or publicized] among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you do not know. Secondly, Quran 9:71 translation The believers, men and women, are Auliya' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma'ruf (the good), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (the bad); they perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

I am not a Muslim, but I feel incline to interject here.
It is not necessarily muslims being targeted by those standards... it tends to be "Arab" looking people - muslim or not.

I'm not Muslim, but, yes, Middle-Easterns (also Muslims) get targeted, and I HATE it so much.

Well, apparently MOST people got this question.....except for the idiot (Gaeligeki...whatever). Still, however, no one has given a solution, especially the idiot (Gaeligeki...whatever). Not that I have one, I was just pointing out the obvious.....and the idiot (Gaeligeki...whatever).
