has she been exposed to a male rabbit. mine was the same way. we didn't know that she was pregnant when we got her. take her to the vet she may have a urinary tract infection.

Sounds to me like your bunny is sick and needs to make a trip to the vet. Red in the litter box is a sign of blood which means something is wrong inside your bunny. Could be why she suddenly doesn't want to be picked up or go back in her cage. I'm more experienced with dogs and cats than bunnys but common sense tells me what I just told you.

Hope this helps. :-)

Um, I've had rabbits forever and... mine never had periods.

She has no idea what she's talking about.

It could be internal bleeding. What has she been allowed to eat? If she ate something like a tack(yes, they're stupid enough) or a sharp piece of wood she didn't chew right, that could be the cause. Also, a bladder infection. Or UTI(Urinary Tract Infection).
A bunny came into work that had a UTI and they just gave her some meds that were like, $25 and she was fine.

So take her to the vet asap, thats all we can really do for you here.

I don't know much about bunnies. But I do know that red urine is a very bad sign in a critter. She sounds like she has a urinary tract problem that needs to be taken care of fast. Take her to the vet.

And Good Luck!

sounds like your bunny has a bladder infection, which is very uncomfortable, which is probably why she's biting you when she's picked up. call your vet to make an appointment ASAP.
