That is the nature of any mammal. It is instinct. That was something that was ingrained into us a long time ago. Thats how the species propagates itself. Some animals ensure they will not go extinct by having a large amount a babies in the hope that a few will survive and some animals (humans for example) have very few offspring but ensure (or try to) that the line will continue by making sure the offspring is fully prepared to survive before it matures into adulthood.

Because of the large number of predators trolling the streets, internet, and clubs looking for unsupervised kids they can take off with. Check your county list of registered sex offenders and multiply that by 4 for those not required legally to register and you will know why parents have to be very vigilant and protective of their children. The world is a very dangerous place for unsupervised children.

Its just kind of programmed into their brains. They want to keep you safe and protect you from anything that will hurt you. They want to keep you safe from predators, accidents, pedephiles, nasty people, gangs, accidents. When you are older they might not show it so much but the truth is you are still there baby forever and are concerned about it.

I have been asking me the same question... I'm almost 18 years old and my mom hasn't stop protecting me... Sometimes I hate this... I want to live my life, to be free, to make my own mistakes, to lose my time in what I mind, I want to have fun, to meet new people, I want to be what I want... But mom is always there to tell you... don't do that, you have to do it by this way... loll why moms don't mind in their lives instead of ruining ours...? Well sometimes they go too far...
