A woman was jailed yesterday for financial fraud, which would be fair enough, if the Home Office weren't currently demanding that 'only the most dangerous criminals' should be jailed. The powers that be consider fraud to be more ''dangerous'' than the paedophiles and rapists who have avoided jail because of their new guidelines? Why the merry hell is Reid even still in his job when 322 sex offenders have been ''lost''?

It's not often I am ashamed of this country, but sheesh, the situation is beyond ridiculous now.

What so you think of all this?

Agree with you. You steal property or cash and this country punishes you worse than the seious offenders who seem to get let off. I would like to know why when illegal immigrants etc., are sent to jail why are they not returned to their country to do their "Time" instead of this backward country keeping them in luxury at a cost to the tax-payer when that money could go to more important things like hospitals, care homes, homeless and many more organisations to mention. Come on Britain take notice.

I totally agree with you, the ones that should really be thrown into prison are being let free and the people who cant pay fines and and are not a threat to anyone else are the ones imprisoned. And we are being told the prisons are too full? Why dont they come down hard on the cruel and dangerous ones? or is it just all about money?

of course someone who commits a crime such as benefit fraud is more dangerous than a paedophile! Take a look at the half wits running the country, there's your answer!

Penitentiary. Place of incarceration. Gaol (in case you're just looking for a different spelling.) Slammer. Big house. Prison. The joint.

I left England and moved to another country. Good luck with the crime and terrorism. I'm sitting pretty here in Japan.

People for financial fraud are more likely to go to jail for a long amount of time than someone who murders someone else.

Until the law is actually changed to jail only the most dangerous criminals, then this is completely fine.
