Its usually in their proxy reports-- go to the company web site and look for investor info. Those reports (e.g. shareholder reports, proxy reports) usually have salaries of top exec's in the company along with bonuses, stock grants, perks, share/option holdings, etc.

Its really interesting reading-- some guys in these top companies get some really interesting benefits. For example-- reimbursement for taxes paid (nobody helps me with that). Transportaion allowances, drivers, jets -- although from a security standpoint, I'm ok with that.

They get subsidised loans from the company.
Supplemental retirement benefits -- due to IRS limits etc.

I'm all for compensating execs well, but many just get to much. One huge credit card company recently disclosed salaries for top execs. 3 of them got 17-25% raises from their 06 salaries. That's rediculous given that most employees in same company get like 3% +/- raises.

That's probably way more than you wanted--- 8-)

Put yourself in the position of a CEO of a public company.Your salary is based on your performance-if you are a star you make big bucks-if you are a putz-you don't.That's life in this world in any situation except the government. You can be an asshole and still be a star! You can access any information on a public company in their annual report.Call them and they will send it to you at no charge.Don't get caught up in this envy promoted by the liberals.Someday you might be a CEO making the big bucks. How about questioning the income of atheletes ,movie idols, tv personalities that produce nothing except entertainment.

You can go to Yahoo Finance, then to the company, then click on Company profile on the left and you'll see some salaries on the bottom right. Salary, and options exercised to the right.
